I can haz the Galaxy Nexus?
After much anticipation and a handful of delays, Verizon has officially announced that the Galaxy Nexus will be available starting tomorrow, December 15th. I have been anxiously awaiting this day, but am I really ready to ditch my iPhone for an Android device?
I have always liked the idea of Android. I have reviewed tons of Android handsets and even owned a few, but none have kept me away from the iPhone for long. I have consistently been an iPhone user since it initially debuted in 2007, but something changed in the last four years, iOS started to bore me. While I love its simplicity and multitude off apps, it has essentially been the same since the beginning. Android on the other hand, has molded and evolved, and is vastly different than its first iteration found on the T-Mobile G1. Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) is new, elegant and one of the biggest draws of the Galaxy Nexus. Couple that with LTE and a sleek design from Samsung, and you've got yourself a pretty solid device.
Will I purchase the Galaxy Nexus? Will I leave what I know in search of something new? I've yet to decide, but one thing is certain, I will definitely be visiting a Verizon store. Either way, look for my initial impressions tomorrow.
